Simple to use, all-purpose veterinary scale from Seca uses either battery or AC power and weighs in pounds/ounces or kilograms/grams.

And thanks to the 20 gram to 20 kilogram weighing increments, the Seca 606 veterinary scale can be used to weigh either large or small animals - separate scales are no longer necessary!

This veterinary scale also features a long battery life: battery capacity is sufficient for 16,000 weighings.  You don't need to position the scale near an outlet -- and there's no cord over which you can trip.  (But you can use AC power if you'd prefer). The automatic switch-off 5 minutes after the last weighing operation, or after 2 minutes when the scale is not being used saves battery life.

Auto Hold function displays the animal's weight even after the animal has left the scale -- this way the scale operator can concentrate on the animal, and not the scale. A new weighing operation can be started without pressing a button beforehand, since the scale is automatically reset to zero when it is loaded again. If it's necessary to repeat the measurement when the animal stays on the scale, the repeat weighing operation can be started by briefly pressing a button.

Tare function lets you subtract the weight of any animal carrier from the animal's weight (eg. a cat weighed in a basket).  To use the tare function, weigh the carrier first and press the tare button.  Then place the animal in the carrier -- the display shows only the animal's weight.  This function can also be used to weigh the animal in the owner's arms.

The 3-step dampening function ensures reliable weighing of calm animals (no dampening), restless animals (slight dampening), and very restless animals (strong dampening).

The scale's rough surface is constructed of scratch-resistant plastic and is easy to clean. The anodized frame construction and the sealed wooden plate at the scale's bottom makes the scale highly moisture resistant when the floor becomes wet. And the rubber bases even out height differences of up to 5 mm, so that stability is ensured when the floor is slightly uneven.
